User Call Guidelines

Get the best results from your sessions


Session best practice

  • All sessions are 25 minutes and run from the time that was scheduled.

  • Make sure you have a good data/ wifi connection for the duration of the session.

  • Make sure you are in a quiet, private place where you will not be interrupted.

Session Structure

The below is intended as a guide for how your session will be structured but your coach will determine the exact format for an individual session:

Goal, complication, question (GCQ)

  • Goal

    • Your coach will explore your goal and motivations: e.g. ‘I want to lose weight to be healthier and look better’.

  • Complication

    • They will help establish what’s preventing you from achieving this goal: e.g. ‘I have a busy job that prevents me exercising regularly and eating healthily’.

  • Question

    • They will help you formulate a specific question that will serve as the focus for their pod: e.g. ‘how do I lose weight with only 3 hours of exercise a week and limited healthy food options at lunch?’


Timing: 10 Minutes


Establishing information & KPIs

At this stage your coach will establish your current habits and routine in more detail as well as KPIs (key performance indicators)

  • How will you be measuring success? E.g. just weight loss or body fat % or waistline measurement?

  • What are your measurements currently? Where do you want to be?

  • What does an average food day look like?

  • What does an average food week look like?

  • What kind of exercise do you do? How long for? How often?

  • Are you carrying any injuries?

  • How much do you drink?

  • Do you smoke?

  • What’re your energy levels like?

  • How much do you sleep? Etc.


Timing: 5 Minutes


Establish a plan

This stage is for your coach to explain the plan they are recommending and it is this that they will share in your POD following the call.

  • They will talk you through the recommendation they are providing.

  • Explain the theory behind it so that you understand the process.

  • Establish a time frame: what you need to do by when and make a recommendation on when to book your next session for.


Timing: 10 Minutes
